January Class Projects

Today I am meeting the 2nd of my new years' resolution.  I am posting the cards we made at the last stamp camp.  January designed a couple Valentines Day Cards, but did the other 2 just fun cards that can be used anytime of the year.  Next Month when I post I hope to have taken better pictures with no random images on my computer desk in the background...lol

Ink: Riding Hood Red classic stamp pad, Chocolate Chip classic stamp pad & Stampin' Write Marker.  Riding Hood Red Marker made with Reinker & Empty Blender Pen.
Papers:  Candy Cane DSP. Riding Hood Red & Very Vanilla CS
Stamps:  Love You Much
Accessories:  Scallop Edge Punch, Heart to Heart Punch, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Mini Glue Dots, 2-Way Glue Stick, Snail, & Paper Snips

The pattern for this lattice edge card can be printed from the pattern link over on the right hand side of my page.  The directions come printed on the pattern, but I will try to get a tutorial page up this next week.  It is much easier to do, once you can see it done.  The Chocolate Chip scalloped medallion tutorial  can be seen on Splitcoast Stampers.  One of my customers & friend brought this tutorial to try on a night we stamped together.  I did not tie the ribbon around the edge of the medallion, because it never laid just right, but used a mini glue dot to adhere down.   I stamped the hearts from the Love You Much stamp set, then punched them out with the matching punch!  Isn't it so cool that we have these matching items.

Papers:  Candy Cane DSP & Riding Hood Red & Very Vanilla CS
Inks: Riding Hood Red classic stamp pad, Chocolate Chip classic stamp pad & Stampin' Write Marker.  Riding Hood Red Marker made with Reinker & Empty Blender Pen
Stamps:  Love You Much
Accessories:  Big Shot Circle Scallop Die, Circle Scissors cutting machine, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Snail, Paper Snips, demontionals & Life Saver Mints

Inks:  Rose Red, Regal Rose, & Kiwi Kiss Classic Stamp Pads & Markers.
Papers: Rose Red, Regal Rose, Kiwi Kiss, & Whisper White CS.  Rasberry Tart DSP
Stamps:  Petal Pizzaz, Polka Dot Background, & Holidays & Wishes.
Accessories:  Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch, Paper Snips, Mini Glue Dots, 2-Way Glue Stick, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Snail, Dementionals & White Gel Pen.

I borrowed this set from My downline, Gwyn.  I did not purchase this set in the preorder, because I did not think I would like it.  Once Gwyn got it, & we were playing with it, I fell in love with it.  It took me most of a day to get this card "just right" like I wanted it.

Inks:  Basic Black, & Creamy Carmel Marker
Papers:  Summer Sun & Creamy Carmel CS, & Prints Pack DSP
Stamps:  Just Buzzin' By
Accessories:  1" Cicle Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Black Gingham Ribbon, Dementionals.

This card is pretty straight forward, except that when you make the double scallop edge I recommend that you cut the DSP a little longer so that you can line it up & trim off what you need to.  I felt that it was too think to punch them out at the same time.  To do the shading, I just stamped the hive on the creamy carmel CS, cut the image out, then used my Creamy Carmel Marker to Shade the Borders & lines on the image.  I felt that color on color added just the shading & effect I wanted.  We used this DSP from the past Hostess Prints Packs.  I feel that the prints packs are one of the best hostess gifts.  I always try to get one with each new catalog.
