Cattails

I used the inspired by nature grass & stamped it in kiwi kiss. What on earth are we going to do without kiwi?? Old olive would work here, but not be quite as bright. Then I used the slot punch to make the little cattails & glued them on with 2-way glue all over the grass. Chocolate Chip ribbon & card base with kiwi kiss layer & image stamped on very vanilla. The for you came from the Happy everything stamp set. I often forget about this set, but should get it out more & use it. It fits perfectly with the small & large oval punches.
Don't forget to make a comment on the post below for a chance to win blog candy just for making your vote on ribbon or not!

Ribbon, or No Ribbon???

I created this card casing from someone on Late Night Stampers. I am sorry I can not remember the creator, but if you leave a comment to whom you are, I will give u credit where it is due. I used the Strawberry from the Tart & Tangy set to stamp first. Then I masked them, & stamped the swirls from the Baroque Motif set. I then used the Versa Mark pen & marked up the strawberries and clear embossed them to give them some shine & stand out. I used Real Red & Old Olive on the strawberries. My layers are Kiwi Kiss & Whisper White on a Real Red Card Base.
I could not completely decide if it needs the ribbon or not. What do you all think????

Chip Board Tweetie

Isn't he cute??? I thought he was. We used the chip board bird that is in the "So Tweet" chipboard set found on page 185 of the new catalog. He was so so easy to make. We just traced the chipboard on some non-Su DSP....oops. We didn't have anything with us that wasn't retired, so we went with bright!! Cut them out, then used SU's glue sticks to apply to the chip board. My mom purchased the feathers for his tail at a local store...yeah you know which one! We used Melon Mambo from the new In-Color collection, & glorious green for the grass. I just used scissors to make the grass by cutting small little strips. Glued it all together with tombo adhesive. Give it a try!! He was very fun to make!!
